The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has announced a free online course for students, titled “Overview of Space Science and Technology”, which aims to provide information on various aspects of space science and technology.

The free online course is available for both Indian and foreign students and is delivered by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) as part of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

Who can register for the ISRO Free Online Course?

The ISRO online course is available for Indian and foreign students over 10 years old.

How to register?

To apply for the online course, students must visit IIRS
website and register. Students will then receive credentials on their email, allowing them to attend the sessions.

Everything you need to know about the course

The course will start on June 6, 2022 and will run until July 5, 2022. It is a 10 hour course and students will be able to view the videos online in English. The course can be viewed several times and a quiz will be conducted once the student has viewed the videos.

Who will lead the sessions?


The online course will be taught by leading space scientists in the country.

Will you get a certificate?

Students who have an attendance of 70% and have obtained a quiz score of at least 60% will be eligible to obtain a certificate from the IIRS ISRO.
