IIT-Kanpur offers a free online course on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles; Check details

JThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur is inviting applications for an online course titled Designing Fixed-wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). It will be hosted on the National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform, which is a joint initiative of IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
Things to know:
- This is an eight week course and is free.
- It will run from August 23 to October 15, 2021.
- The course is most suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students who have a basic knowledge of aerodynamics.
- Attendees will be introduced to various topics including fixed-wing UAVs, design parameters, performance and stability analysis, among others.
- The online lectures will be led by industry experts working in the aviation industry space.

- Although the course is free, candidates will have to pay Rs 1,000 to obtain a certificate.
- Certificates will only be granted if the candidate has an assignment score of 25% and an exam score of 75%.
- Applicants will only receive electronic certificates as no hard copies will be issued.
- The exam will take place on October 24, 2021.
